I am a proud user of Synthasite and have been playing around on it the last couple of weeks. Although I work in a "techie" environment, I am by no means a techie myself or a webdev guru, in fact, my knowledge is fairly limited on the 'behind the scenes' stuff when it comes to building websites. Marketing is more my thing. Anyway, I digress, back to Synthasite.
I have found building and playing around on my site very easy to do. A few early minor frustrations were sorted out immediately by the Synthasite guys and from then, it's been a pleasure to build on my site and I have found it really easy to do so. Have a look at what I have been able to do so far, my site is ADH Adventures and I am also working on another one called ADH Beach Adventures. the sites are by no means complete, but at least it may give you a little insight into what you can be capable of. (for those of you in the same boat as me, knowledge wise - on websites) The drag and drop functions make a big difference in being able to organise your site exactly the way you want to view it. Simple, efficient, quick steps, then publish your site happens all in a matter of minutes.
I would encourage anyone wanting to build themselves a site, to test out Synthasite. The guys are onto something fantastic and being able to be a part of it and provide feedback to the team while they continue to improve it, is only going to benefit you, the user.
Happy building!

@ pastorddt - Synthasite is REALLY easy to use. First thing you need to do is get on over to www.synthasite.com and sign up with them. From there it's pretty simple to pick a template and build from there. I know the guys at Synthasite are incredibly helpful and willing to help, so give them a shout on their 'contact us' page and they'll be able to help you out should you be unsure of where to start ;)
@Thibaud - looks fantastic. have you used it much? do you have an example of a site built through them?

Hi Michelle, thanks for the great feedback! In total, the site took around 3 days to complete. I found that the best way to work with synthasite (as with any website! is to plan it out first, in terms of the sections, write out all of the content and meta data into a spreadsheet, and copy and paste into synthasite. Basically, once that was done, I then went through the pages and formatted any of the copy, put in additional internal page links, and finally added the images.....I've generally found that if the written content is done first, it's easier to add the finishing touches last.
The thing I was impressed with was the 'add-ons' (forms, image gallerys etc) - very easy to use and to put in - just a case really of deciding which ones are neccessary, as the temptation is to put it all in!!
Also, for anyone wanting to add Google Analytics to their pages - really easy - at the bottom of the home page, drag over the 'HTML Widget' (as though your adding a text box to the foot of the page), and once you've signed up for a google analytics package - which is free - just copy the code google gives you into the HTML widget editor. It's really easy, and works very well, and I would recommend it to anyone, as it helps give you an understanding of how your sites doing (visitors, popular pages, time on site etc).
Look forward to doing some more sites soon, and keep me posted on your synthasite creations Michelle!!
Ian :-)
